The duties and responsibilities of the Accounting Clerk may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Process paperwork received from the Finance & Insurance (F&I) Department.
Post new and used vehicle sales deals accurately and in a timely manner.
Accurately submit manufacturer rebates for payment and follow up as needed.
Verify and audit documents to ensure all information is correct, including critical details such as customer names and addresses.
Perform basic accounting functions, such as:
Cutting checks to customers
Posting tag/title invoices
Balancing schedules
Reconciling customer accounts
Assist the Office Manager with End-of-Month (EOM) duties and other reporting tasks.
Handle miscellaneous clerical tasks as assigned by the Office Manager, General Manager (GM), or General Sales Manager (GSM).
Answer incoming calls directed to the accounting office in a professional and courteous manner.
Proactively communicate with your supervisor regarding progress, challenges, or updates.
Report errors or unusual items discovered during processing or reconciliation.
Propose improvements and solutions to enhance workflow efficiency and accuracy.
Perform other duties as assigned to support the accounting and dealership operations.
